well i made it all the way to DC. tomorrow i shall go to Fort Meade and watch Boy graduate from another phase of his military training. and for the next few days after that i shall inflict on boy's dad the wonders of being tourist in the national capitol. *evil laughter*

lif sucks sometimes and just when you think it you can tread water for while someone has to stir the up the waves.

well the edges of the storm were interesting. wasn't even close to an evacuation zone. thank you weather gods but we had loads of wind and rain and more of the same. ok loads to me but not comapred to anything people lived thru 3 years ago. even better were the good friends and good company and good food and and and... it was good. the run up was even more interesting as i worked and worked and smiled and smiled.

In the Potter caon we are told that Gringotts is a the most physically secure place to keep things. Well, mostly secure. But is banking secrecy canon or fanon? Are we told or shown anywhere in canon that the goblins take great care in keeping bank business thier very own or has fandom created that idea our very own selves? And yes its for a new fic. (but not the one in that last poll. that one still needs research. Lots of research.) I am attempting something that's actually trying to be canon compliant. Epilog included, sorta.

someone i miss dearly and i are playing email tag. we haven't spoken in over a decade due to circumstances beyond my control. in this case that translates to raising munchkins ain't cheap on my part and very busy life on his. i've been trying to figure out to fill in the gaps when i realised that just hitting the high(low) points is gonna take some 'splaining, lucy. since he and i last spoke i have had cancer, watched all three munchkins graduate high school, watched my then beloved almost die twice, become a grandmnstr (4 times over!,) buried a child, sent my boy to the army then korea and then iraq and back stateside, watched middle munchkin fight to keep her ass out of prison and keep her eldest munchkin and win, move 1100 miles away from them...

OMGWTF i mean really ! all this happened to me?!?!? and that's just the outside stuff? damn
